The diner first opened in the 1950's by Socrates “Louie” Toton. The diner came with a large parcel of land out back, which Louie would grow produce and close the diner during the summer so he could attend to the garden. The diner changed hands in 1983 and has remained in the same family since then. They continued the garden, however lease the land to a local farmer, which provides the diner with fresh produce on a daily basis in season.
