Installed by the Angus Glens Moorland Group, this is one of a series of signs scattered around the lower slopes of Glen Clova to educate visitors about the terrain of the heather moorland typical of the area.
The open heather moorland consists of a vegetation of heather, grasses, berries and mosses. This terrain harbours wildlife such as Lapwing, Common Curlew, Mountain Hare, Golden Plover, Red and Black Grouse, Red Deer, Snipe, Hen Harrier and Golden Eagle.
This particular sign can be found at Adielinn, some eight miles up the glen on its eastern side at the beginning of a path that takes the walker up to Loch Wharrel.
