A brick walkway meanders through the Veterans Grove at City Park, connecting the memorials of various wars - WWI, WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Dedicated on November 11, 2017, Veterans Day, the Freedom Path is a project of the Berks County Monument Preservation Commission. The commission monitors and maintains military monuments throughout Berks County and the sale of the bricks assists with the funds needed to continue their mission. The bricks cost $100 and are inscribed with names, dates or messages in honor of a military member.
