A huge sailboat is wrecked a short distance off the Malecon in San Miguel de Cozumel. The ship was reported grounded by high waves and strong winds, by the Cozumel Sun News on December 16, 2017 . The owner abandoned the boat and left the country. More that a year later the boat remains in place.
