An aerial photomap is at the bottom left corner of an interpretative sign that is placed under a corrugated iron skillion roof. Above the photomap which shows where you are, is a more detailed map of the Bodalla State Forest Rest Area, showing the Visitor Centre and forest walk.
Meanwhile the photomap differentiates the State Forest and National Park areas of the region, with Visitor Sites and Main Road (Princes Highway) shown. It is difficult to see the various lakes, but they are outlined.
Other parts of the interpretative sign welcome you to Bodalla State Forest, where you stay for free, explore Lake Mummuga with a 1.5 hour walking track, or the nearby Box Cutting Rainforest Walk. A corner of the sign details the contribution of overseas volunteers that built benches and walking tracks. An orange sector of the sign gives some details of the Flora and Fauna of the Bodalla State Forest. A red sector gives information on Aboriginal Heritage. With the green bottom right corner giving sundry warnings and safety tips for the region.
