There is a road that crosses a pond and stream. Birders come here often, it is one of the areas to see ducks and herons.

This is a painted turtle, we saw it in the road and moved it to the side it was facing. There is a lot of traffic on this road.

We are showing 2 photos of the turtle in the road and one of a similar turtle in the pond where it was heading (same species).

This is a very common turtle in our area. They are often seen basking on logs. We saw a muskrat and killdeer this day.
