The line was opened in 1891.
On October 15, 1891, telegraph stations with daily services were opened in the railway buildings in Odry, Vítkov and Budišov. Thus, all three cities were connected to the whole world not only by railway tracks, but also by telegraph, which was extremely important for the further development of municipalities, trade and industry.
