"Clipsham stone cross on tall octagonal shaft, on squared base bearing metal plaques, resting on hexagonal two tiered base. Faculty dated 9th August 1919 (DE 1920/16) with accompanying design drawing by Traylen & Son. This memorial was chosen and paid for by the vicar, who lost his son Geoffrey Ellwood on 14th July 1916 during the Somme."
