[FR] Le 22 mars 1936, la Très Sainte Vierge Marie apparut pour la première fois à Emelda (11 ans), à l'entrée d'un tunnel, dans le village de Ham-sur Sambre. Elle annonça les malheurs de la guerre mondiale à venir.
Des apparitions de Jésus Christ et des Archanges Gabriel et Michel eurent également lieu.
Le Ciel promit une protection et de grandes grâces pour ceux qui viendraient prier sincèrement et dans une démarche de conversion. Le Christ assura que "la Belgique sera toujours sous mon manteau".
Autrefois, des cars entiers venant d'Allemagne, de France, des Pays-Bas et encore d'ailleurs, se rendaient en ce lieu en pèlerinage.
Un insigne de protection (un coeur avec la couronne d'épines et surmonté d'une croix) fut donné, ainsi que les prières utiles.
Malheureusement, les autorités ecclésiastiques ayant également le dossier concernant les apparitions à Beauraing, les apparitions ici à Ham-sur-Sambre n'ont pas été reconnues.
Mais cela n’empêche pas la prière personnelle, selon la conscience de chacun.
Le site comprend trois chapelles, ainsi qu'un Chemin de Croix en maçonnerie (14 stations d'environ 2m20 de hauteur) qui prête à la méditation et à la prière.
[EN] On March 22, 1936, the Blessed Virgin Mary first appeared at Emelda (age 11), at the entrance of a tunnel, in the village of Ham-sur Sambre. She announced the woes of the coming world war.
Apparitions of Jesus Christ and Archangels Gabriel and Michael also took place.
Heaven promised protection and great graces for those who would come to pray sincerely and in a process of conversion. Christ assured that "Belgium will always be under my mantle".
In the past, whole cars coming from Germany, France, the Netherlands and moreover, went to this place on pilgrimage.
A badge of protection (a heart with the crown of thorns and surmounted by a cross) was given, as well as useful prayers.
Unfortunately, the ecclesiastical authorities also having the file concerning the apparitions to Beauraing, the apparitions here in Ham-sur-Sambre were not recognized.
But that does not prevent personal prayer, according to everyone's conscience.
The site includes three chapels, as well as a Masonry Way of the Cross (14 stations of about 2m20 high) that lends itself to meditation and prayer.
