From an information panel on site:
Sherman Tank
The rugged, reliable Sherman, an American design, was Canada's standard tank during the Second World War and the Korean War.
Canada used this model of the Sherman tank from 1947 until the late 1960's. It had heavier armour, a more powerful gun, and wider tracks than earlier versions. Shermans were replaced by Centurion tanks in the mid 1950's, although some remained in service with reserve units until the late 1960's. Canadians also used similar Shermans, acquired from the United-States, during the Korean War.
