This church was moved to the site and then replaced in 1870. This is near the other Baptist Church in town. It is now the town hall and community center.

"Shortly thereafter, a separate and distinct group of Baptist – Free Will Baptists--emerged, based on “the doctrines of free grace, free salvation and free will.”"
The church became split on the question of temperance. This was a problem in an area where hops were a major crop.
"On October 25, 1916, 45 farmers interested in promoting local agriculture met with Deputy Master Josiah Betts in the Free Will Baptist Church and organized the Fabius Grange No 1404. The building was a Grange until it was sold to the town for a town hall and community center.
