Peter Andreas Hansen (* 8. December 1795 in Tondern (Schleswig); † 28. March 1874 in Gotha) was a German astronomer and geodesist who started his scientific activity as an amateur researcher. He is known for his work in astrometry and mathematical geodesy.
He was an astronomical observer (comet 1825 III), a theoretical astronomer, a geodesist, designed and directed the observatory on the Seebergen, completed in 1859.
