Pine Street Presbyterian traces its beginnings to 1858. The cornerstone was laid in 1859 here at 3rd and Pine, with the English Gothic-style church completed in 1860. Services have been held continuously since then.
The next-door Boyd Building, which feeds and houses some of Harrisburg's poor and needy, was completed in 1916. The church itself received extensive renovations and expansion in 1926. The church organ first came to life at this time as well.
Today the church is an all-welcoming church. Services are conducted Sundays at 8:45 a.m. Church School for All Ages and 10:00 a.m. The Holy Eucharist.
