A modern design, multi-tiered fountain can be found along the southwest side of the Katzen Arts Center on the American University campus in Washington, DC. Water circulated through three rectangular pools. It is surrounded by lush green landscaping to the south and east. Hardscape borders are stairs to the west and a long narrow plaza above to the north. A small dedication plaque attached to adjoining stairs reads: "In memory of Hubert Leckie".
