Dawson Creek is in Peace River Country in beautiful British Columbia. It has approximately 13,000 residents in this well known community. Dawson Creek is Mile "O" of the famous Alaska Highway.
In the spring of 1942, tens of thousands of soldiers and civilians arrived in Dawson Creek to build the Alaska Highway. In 2017, Dawson Creek celebrated the 75th anniversary of the completion of the Alaska Highway.
The Dawson Creek main post office has wood siding and a flat mansard roof. There are two large windows in the front. The post office offers postal boxes for rental, stamps, mailing supplies and other merchandise.
