For the past two decades, the fences, tunnels and overpasses along the Trans-Canada Highway in Banff National Park have helped more than 152,000 animals cross the road safely.

They have also reduced the number of wildlife vehicle collisions by about 80 per cent.

There are six wildlife structures crossing the highway, and 38 tunnels going under it. There is an information stop at N 51 13.621, W 115 49.543.
