"When Empire Grill checked out of Carrollton’s Adamson Square, hot dogs became absent as a main food offering in downtown Carrollton. Now The Vault, located off Alabama Street next to Underground Books, recently added a food menu that includes hot dogs. The most popular item on their menu is the Duke Ellington, a premium hot dog that combines all of the elements of a barbeque cookout into one. It comes with a Pigman Goods all-beef frank and pulled pork, topped with homemade slaw and barbecue sauce. Another hot dog option is the Greek Gatsby which includes Kalamata olives, cucumbers, tomatoes, and homemade tzatziki sauce.

"The Vault also caters to your sweet tooth with delicious root beer or Coca-Cola ice cream floats, along with homemade cake. Some special events at The Vault come with dinner and a show. The Vault is working with a local caterer and longtime partner of The City Menus, Simply Catering, that whips up specially themed dishes based on the show. The most recent event at The Vault was the Murder Mystery dinner, where Simply Catering provided the food and facilitated the actors for the performance.

"Located just off the square, formerly a members-only speakeasy, The Vault is now open to the public as a restaurant. The early 1900s-themed restaurant and bar features a new menu, with a number of specialty dishes and cocktails. Visitors are treated to the old-school feel of a classic, reclusive hideaway dining experience.

"When The Vault became a members-only venue, they adopted an early Americana speakeasy theme. Being that they were already themed in the early 1990s, they adopted an early 1900s’ cinema and boardwalk-themed menu for their restaurant.

"Everyone is welcome to eat, drink, and attend live events at The Vault. It is open Thursday through Saturday from 5pm to 1:30am." ~ The City Menus, by By Daniel Forte - April 26, 2019
