Barriere is in the Central North Thompson Valley in beautiful British Columbia. Barriere is at the confluence of the Barriere River and North Thompson River making this an ideal recreational location. It has approximately 1,700 residents.

We stayed at the Monte Carlo Motel, while visiting Barrière. Though considered perhaps an inexpensive motel, the room were very clean and a good size. The internet connection was also good.
