1920's, disassembled and brought to the grounds of the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, MA from High Street in Taunton, MA. It was the first of nine buildings that now comprise th Storrowton Village Museum. It was previously owned by over a dozen families.

A wooden sign on the building is inscribed:

PHILLIPS HOUSE
CIRCA 1767
TAUNTON, MA

The private home was built in 1767. The house is a fine example of colonial era workmanship. The front is five bays wide with a central door. It has a gambrel roof which allows for a second story, hand hewn oak beams, hand split laths, hand forged nails and hand made bricks for the centrally located fireplace. Th path leading to the main entrance is inlaid with an old millstone. The building is currently used for the museum's administrative offices and gift shop.
