The building at the southwest corner of Queen Street and Lyon Street is the main entrance to Lyon Station of the Confederation Line of Ottawa's new light rail system. There is also an entrance on the opposite side of Queen Street in the Place de Ville complex.

Construction began in 2013. In September 2019, the Confederation Line light rail system finally opened for fare traffic. The Confederation Line is part of Ottawa's public transit system, OC Transpo. There are thirteen stations on the Confederation Line. Four of those stations are below street level.

In August 2017, an exhibit took place in the unfinished subway tunnel. I have included some before and after photographs.

Is there other puplic transportation in the area?: Yes

What level is the station?: Below street level
