THE USS Pueblo incident took place in January 1968. The ship was captured after entering North Korean waters multiple times.

She left her base in Japan a few days before the incident, sailing towards her final destination. The ship was captured during a joint operation by North Korean navy and Mig-21 aircraft.

The crew was interned in a POW camp where the 83 men spent almost a year. They were released in December that year, after the United Stated admitted that they were spying and promised to stop further spying operations against North Korea.

The ship was attached to the Pyongyang Victorious War Museum in 2013. It's kept on pier in the Potong river and can be visited by anyone visiting the mentioned museum.

Plenty of information about the ship and the incident in Wikipedia. (visit link)
