The original incarnation of this place (1793 Hwy 77 S) was a classic "joint," whose limited seating and popularity with the locals had you thinking "to go" as soon as you approached the counter. Today, they're in an old tourist court complex, with plenty of seating compared to before. Note that "Get here early to get the best stuff" is in play like at so many other popular joints.

Their menu features ribs, brisket (chopped and sliced), Polish sausage, bologna, pulled pork, pork tenderloin, chicken (pulled or half), hot links, and hot wings. They also have some non-BBQ items like shrimp baskets and burgers. Sides are slaw, beans, fries, fried okra, black-eyed peas, or potato salad, with onions and pickles available upon request. During the warmer months, you can also get corn on the cob. Soft drinks and tea (sweetened and unsweetened) are available if you need something to drink.

If you plan to have room after your meal -- they WILL load you up, and there are plenty of to-go containers at the counter -- they offer dessert in the form of cobbler and "strawberries on a cloud."
