One of the two outdoor picture frames located on either side of the city name on the Malecón. In this one you can see, across the frame, our cruise ship and many tuna fishing vessels.

Manta has the largest seaport in Ecuador. The port was used by Charles Marie de La Condamine when he arrived in Ecuador when he led the French mission to measure the location of the equator in 1735. From Manta, Condamine began his journey inland towards Quito.
