A piscina in the south wall of the chancel of St Peter's church, South Elmham St Peter.

"Parish church. C12 and C14. Nave, chancel, south porch and west tower. Rubble flint to nave and chancel; stone dressings; slate roofs. 2-light. C14 and C15 windows to nave; Y-tracery windows to south side of chancel, none on north. The 3-light east window has intersecting tracery. Blocked north door.way to nave. Small tower in 4 stages, in rubble flint with an mixture of stone and red brick; diagonal buttresses at the west end with diagonal chequerwork in stone and flint to the bases and chequerwork panelling to the faces; battlemented and panelled parapet; 4 wide single-light windows to the top stage. Simple with diagonal buttresses and the remains of flushwork panels on the front. A single-light trefoil-headed window to each side, and remains of a holy water stoup. A plain Norman south doorway with one order of shafts, cushion capitals, and undecorated abaci. Simple interior, with C19 benches, pulpit, and lectern, and boarded replacement roof to chancel. Nave roof in 4 bays, with arched braces, and collars up to the apex of triangular form; carved motifs at the intersection ofpurlins and principals. High western tower arch. The fine C14 chancel arch has a continuous outer moulding up the jambs and over the arch, decorated with fleurons and heads. C15 font with a low octagonal base, 4 seated lions round the shaft, and the faces of the bowl with alternating blank shields and Tudor roses. Piscina beside the altar."
