EN: This stag beetle made of metal is located on a large stone on Furkastrasse in the center of Mörel.
The beetle is about one meter tall and was created by Marcel Schnyder. The sculpture was inaugurated on October 29, 2011. In 2010, the year of biodiversity, each municipality in Upper Valais was assigned a typical animal as a "mascot". Mörel-Filet received the stag beetle, which is quite common here.
DE: Dieser Hirschkäfer aus Metall befindet sich auf einem grossen Stein an der Furkastrasse im Zentrum von Mörel.
Der Käfer ist etwa einen Meter gross und wurde von Marcel Schnyder geschaffen. Die Skulptur wurde am 29. Oktober 2011 eingeweiht. Im Jahr der Artenvielfalt 2010 wurde jeder Gemeinde im Oberwallis ein typisches Tier als "Maskottchen" zugewiesen. Mörel-Filet erhielt den hier häufig vorkommenden Hirschkäfer.
