The first bridge over the creek was built in 1930 and swept away in 1932. After being rebuilt it was swept away again in 1933.The present new bridge was completed in October 1933. The strong ropes used to support the footway were formerly used in the Hillgrove mines. In Jan 1950 there was concern the bridge would collapse. In May Council reformed and renewed the timber at a cost of $14,000.
