The grey coloured polished marble tablet is mounted vertically to the sandstone headstone. The background to the transcription is etched and silver-filled. It is at the western end of a sandstone topped grave, partly covered with pink/brown tiles, and with a blue tile 'inner margin'. It is beside another grave of the Gorton family. The inscription reads:

In Loving Memory Of
A dear son & Brother
NOEL ELLER GORTON
accidentally killed ay 19.1968
aged 20 years
God has him in His keeping
We have him in our hearts
