The polished pink granite slab stands vertically on a sandstone plinth. The one for Ada mirrors the one beside it, of Cecil Edward Hannaford, who died in 1989, aged 75 years. There is a perforated metal flower holder between the two slabs. The white-filled etched inscription reads:

[In Loving] Memory Of
A Dear Wife
and Mother
ADA ENID
HANNAFORD
(nee Roser)
Died 1.4.2017
Aged 101 years

Having been born during World War One, it probably didn't mean that much to Ada - apart from possibly having relatives of her parents involved. But she certainly would have been affected by the Great Depression, and possibly not even married when along comes World War Two. So with Cecil her husband they most likely brought some 'Baby Boomers', and saw a lot of changes in the world together; until Cecil died in 1989. Unfortunately it was not a good 1st of April (April Fools Day) for her family, when she passed away.
