[FR] "Dans la paroisse de Chalandray, était, et est encore, l’église Notre-Dame.
Une partie de cette église existait déjà au 18° siècle, elle en forme le chevet. Cette partie, comme nous pouvons le voir sur les lieux, est remarquable par sa construction. La base de l’édifice est plus étroit que la partie supérieure. La maçonnerie en est renforcée par des colonnes externes dont le sommet est orné de têtes grimaçantes.
Au 18° siècle, les curés des paroisses devaient déclarer les biens de leur cure pour satisfaire à l’Assemblée Générale du Clergé de France du 12 Dec 1726."

Concernant le clocher :

"Un édifice aujourd'hui en bon état, mis en valeur sur une place simple mais accueillante. Reconstruite au 20ème siècle par un Abbé qui ne respecta pas les plans de l'architecte, des malfaçons eurent pour conséquences de construire un clocher latéral alors qu'il était prévu en façade."
