In 1983 children's farm "de Schouw" started here at this location. The collection of animals has expanded over time and has become a real educational center. Many schools come with their students for lessons about animals and nature.
Children can move freely between the animals and pet and cuddle. For a fee, food can be purchased for the sheep, goats and donkeys.
The following animals are present: Guinea pigs, many sorts of chickens, different typ of birds, pigs, sheep, goats, donkeys, a horse and cows. There are a number of rare pet breeds such as "Brandrode rund", "het bonte Bentheimer varken", "het Drenthse heideschaap" , "Hollander konijnen", "het Barnvelder hoen" en "Helmduiven".
During Saturdays children can have their birthday party here.
