There was a time when this train station was full of life due to the proximity of the river and the nearby cereals silo. Not anymore. With the slow end of those businesses a new train station was built and this one fell in decay. Then it was rebuilt and this museum, dedicated to the good old times of railways in Encarnación too shape.
The exhibit is most about the old location and there is a locomotive on display outside.
There are about 20 thousands pictures of the old times. The museum opened in 2011.
