De Meetmast Cabauw, ook KNMI-mast Cabauw en in de volksmond wel de Snuffelpaal genoemd, is een 213 meter hoge getuide mast die in 1972 is gebouwd ten oosten van het dorp Cabauw, in de Lopikerwaard, in West-Nederland, om meteorologisch onderzoek te doen naar de relaties tussen de staat van de atmosferische grenslaag, de karakteristieken van het landoppervlak en de algemene weersituatie. De verzamelde gegevens worden tegenwoordig automatisch doorgestuurd naar het KNMI in De Bilt. Sinds 1972 is de meetinstrumentatie in samenwerking met andere Nederlandse instituten aanzienlijk uitgebreid met diverse remote sensing instrumenten. De metingen in Cabauw zijn 's werelds langstlopende hoge toren precisiemetingen van broeikasgassen.
De mast is een gesloten cilinder met een diameter van 2 m, waarbinnen zich een lift bevindt. De mast wordt overeind gehouden door tuien op vier niveaus. Om de 20 m zijn in drie richtingen horizontale uithouders van 9,4 m lengte gemonteerd. Deze kunnen hydraulisch worden opgeklapt, zodat de instrumenten aan het uiteinde van elke uithouder kunnen worden gemonteerd vanaf een balustrade hoger aan de mast. Deze constructie maakt het mogelijk veel langere uithouders te gebruiken dan met de gebruikelijke zijwaarts schuivende constructie mogelijk zou zijn. Dit is van belang om de invloed van de mast op de metingen zo klein mogelijk te houden. Rond de voet van de mast staat een gestroomlijnd gebouw van 200 m2.

The Cabauw measurement mast, also known as the Cabauw mast and popularly referred to as the Snuffelpaal, is a 213-meter-high guyed mast that was built in 1972 to the east of the village of Cabauw, in the Lopikerwaard, in the west of the Netherlands, to do the relations between the state of the atmospheric boundary layer, the characteristics of the land surface and the general weather situation. The data collected is now automatically forwarded to KNMI in De Bilt. Since 1972, the measuring instrumentation has been considerably expanded in collaboration with other Dutch institutes with various remote sensing instruments. The measurements in Cabauw are the world's longest-running high-tower precision measurements of greenhouse gases.
The mast is a closed cylinder with a diameter of 2 m, inside which there is an elevator. The mast is kept upright by four-level cables. Horizontal brackets of 9.4 m length are mounted in three directions every 20 m. These can be folded hydraulically so that the instruments can be mounted at the end of each bracket from a balustrade higher up on the mast. This construction makes it possible to use much longer brackets than would be possible with the conventional side sliding construction. This is important to minimize the influence of the mast on the measurements. Around the base of the mast is a streamlined building of 200 m2.
