Little Sea Hill Lighthouse was erected in 1886 on the northwest tip of Curtis Island at the approach to the Fitzroy River and the port of Rockhampton. The lighthouse is constructed of a hardwood frame covered by corrugated iron sheeting and is hexagonal in shape .It was moved to Grassy Hill to replace the flashing light there between October 1947 and June 1948, and was later moved to the Gladstone Maritime Museum where it now stands
