Concernant le clocher de l'église Saint-Symphorien du Viel-Baugé, la flèche précédente était en pierre, elle a été reconstruite en 1856, et fut endommagée par la foudre en 1859 et 1892. La forme hélicoïdale de gauche à droite de 1/8ème de tour est volontaire, mais l'inclinaison semble due à un mauvais séchage.
