Skive Trav - Skive, Danmark - Horse Racing Tracks on Waymarking.com

Skive Trav hed oprindeligt Nordvestjysk Væddeløbsbane, og blev etableret i 1948 på dét areal, der i dag huser Skive Kaserne. De første løb blev kørt på den ”gamle” bane søndag den 25. juli 1948 i overværelse af godt 10.000 tilskuere. I forbindelse med en ekspropriation af travbane-arealet til kaserneformål i 1966 blev banen flyttet til dens nuværende idylliske placering i skovbrynet på Flyvej 2.

Skive Horse Racing Track was originally called North West Jutland Racecourse, and was established in 1948. There were over 10,000 visitors for the first race.
