"With imagination and love, many old buildings have been transformed into space for the arts.
- This warehouse and factory, Tremont Estates, is now office and studio space.
- A Cyclorama, built in 1884 to display an early recreation of the Battle of Gettysburg, is now the core building of the Arts Center.
- The National Theater, a 1911 vaudeville theater next to the Cyclorama, is now renovated.
- A garage and florist market, a residential hotel and a commercial building of the 1860s, now provide facilities for artists."
I have been to the Gettysburg Cyclorama in Gettysburg, PA - beautiful piece. It is a painting that is roughly 10 feet tall and is in a continous band so that you feel that you are in the thick of the battle.
I have also been inside the Cyclorama for a function that rented the space.
It was fun to rediscover the place.

Visit Instructions:
When logging a Massachusetts Historic Marker, we ask that you not only describe your visit, but to upload a picture from it. The picture does not have to be of the marker - one picture of the marker is enough. But a photo of you standing next to the marker or a photograph the subject of the marker - those are examples of possible photographs to upload.
