EN: This sluice gate can be found on the bisse "Stägeru" north of Niedergesteln. The 3.5 km irrigation canal was first mentioned in 1552 and is still in use. There is a hiking trail along the canal.
At this lock, water is branched off for an adjacent, somewhat lower canal. This canal is called "Lüegjeru-Süe".
DE: Dies Schleuse befindet sich an der Suone "Stägeru" nördlich von Niedergesteln. Der 3.5 Kilometer lange Bewässerungskanal wurde 1552 erstmals erwähnt und ist immer noch in Gebrauch. Es führt ein Wanderweg entlang ds Kanals.
An dieser Schleuse wird Wasser für einen benachbarten, etwas tiefer gelegenen Kanal abgezweigt. Dieser Kanal heisst "Lüegjeru-Süe".
