Oliver Community Stage is part of the Oliver Community complex which includes in addition to the bandshell, a public pool, tennis courts, ball fields, community hall, weight room, Eastlink Curling Center and more. The entire complex has many large shade trees, lovely lawn areas and several dedicated benches. All of these amenities are within walking distance to each other and there is ample parking..
The Community Stage was made possible by the Kiwanis Club of Oliver., this is one of many projects in Oliver that they sponsored.
During the summer Oliver has its annual "Music in the Park" live entertainment featuring local and regional musicians. The Oliver Community Stage is were this all happens. Be sure and bring your own lawn chairs or blankets.
In addition to "Music in the Park, the stage is used by local drama students, and young children acting groups. I was there on several occasions and it was always being used, had to return about 6:00 am in order to take pictures without infringing on photographing young children.
Though when the children were on stage, it was fun watching them go through their lines.
Due to Covid-19, live performances are temporarily suspended.
