The Opel Manta is a coupe of the German car brand Opel produced from 1970 to 1988 in two generations: Manta A (1970-1975) and Manta B (1975-1988). Opel had decided at the time to produce the Manta to compete with the Ford Capri. It shares its platform with the first Opel Ascona. The Opel Manta was replaced in 1988 by the Opel Calibra.

As a tribute to the cult car Opel Manta B, the sculpture "Clamped vehicle" was installed as part of the project "Kunstpfad Mainvorland”. The Würzburg architect and artist Matthias Braun has set up his almost 14-tonne work on a public parking lot in Rüsselsheim. The sculptures are part of the new art route on the Main.

Opel avait décidé à l’époque de produire la Manta pour rivaliser avec la Ford Capri. Elle partage sa plate-forme avec la première Opel Ascona. L’Opel Manta a été remplacée en 1988 par l’Opel Calibra.

En hommage à la voiture culte Opel Manta B, la sculpture «Véhicule à collier» a été installée dans le cadre du projet «Kunstpfad Mainvorland». L'architecte et artiste de Würzburg Matthias Braun a installé son œuvre de près de 14 tonnes sur un parking public à Rüsselsheim. Les sculptures font partie de la nouvelle route artistique sur la Main.
