The motto of Blackbird Woodfired Pizza is Prairie made. Hell fired. With temperatures of 800° to 900°F their hand built brick oven turns out a pizza crust that is chewy on the inside, while crispy on the outside.
"The foundation of Blackbird Woodfire is our artisan pizza. Handmade pizza dough made from only North Dakota wheat and milled flour. Years of testing has gone into refining and creating Blackbird’s pizza dough, establishing the perfect base to showcase seasonal, locally grown produce and herbs. It took us a bit to decide on our order, but on our first visit my wife and I went with the Sausage Apple pizza (Béchamel cream sauce, house made sausage, Granny Smith apple, fresh sage, parmesan cheese, & micro greens) and a Blue Crush pizza (Garlic infused olive oil, parmesan and gorgonzola cheese, red onion, walnuts, roasted grapes & fresh rosemary) both were very good. We did not have to wait long, as that hot brick oven cooks quickly and well.
