Ce bateau de treuillage était utilisé par le QNSPCo,pour conduire des billes de bois (pitounes) sur les rivières à différents endroits autour de Baie-Comeau. (La drave)
Les pitounes étaient envoyées à la papeterie pour la fabrication de papier journal.
Le bateau a été construit dans les années 1940 par Russel Bros Ltd. d'Owen Sound, Ontario.
This winching boat was used by the QNSPCo. paper company to drive logs on rivers in different locations around Baie-Comeau. The logs were sent to the paper mill for the manufacture of newsprint.
