The first line and title of a hymn written by John Wesley appears at the foot of a memorial plaque for Adrian John Pilgrim in the Baldrine Tram Shelter.

The quote 'How happy is the pilgrim's lot' is shown first in Manx Gaelic and then in English below. The full dedication on the plaque is as follows:

'Adriam John Pilgrim (1948-2013)

For many years Adrian Pilgrim lived opposite this Shelter.
He was a remarkable man: a scholar, poet, musician and
pioneer of the Manx language revival. He loved the trams
and all the railways of this Island. The Baldrine Tram
Shelter, built in 1899, was restored in his memory by the
MER in 2014, at the request of his friends.

S'maynrey eh ta troailt gys niau!
How happy is the Pilgrim's lot!'

The first versus of the hymn from which the quote is taken is shown below:

How happy is the pilgrim's lot,
How free from every anxious thought,
From worldly hope and fear!
Confined to neither court nor cell,
His soul disdains on earth to dwell,
He only sojourns here.

The Halt 'serves the small village of the same name, and is fitted wtih a corrugated iron shelter, with hanging baskets and tubs tended by the local community. It is one of the busier rural calling points on the MER.' (visit link)
