De Selimiye Moskee is een moskee in de wijk Veghel-Zuid in het Noord-Brabantse Veghel. Sinds 2018 heeft de moskee zijn deuren geopend aan de Evertsenstraat. De moskee bied plaats aan 450 gelovigen en is ontworpen door Erdal Önder. De moskee is vernoemd naar de Ottomaanse sultan Selim II. De Turkse en Marokkaanse moslimgemeenschap zochten in de jaren 80 een geschikte bidplaats. De gemeenschap, die destijds voornamelijk bestond uit gastarbeiders, wilde een eigen gebedsruimte. De neo-gotische R.K. Congregatiekapel, ontworpen door de Nederlandse architect Pierre Cuypers heeft na jaren leegstand en dreiging tot sloop een nieuwe bestemming gekregen. In 1980 heeft de Selimiye moskee in Veghel zijn deuren geopend in het monumentale pand.
Door ruimtegebrek en de oplopende kosten van het monumentale pand van architect Pierre Kuypers is vanuit de Islamitische Stichting Nederland de opdracht gegeven om de moskee te bouwen. De moskee is ontworpen door de Brabantse architect Erdal Önder en heeft 2,6 miljoen euro gekost. Het gebouw bestaat uit een gebedsruimte voor 450 gelovigen, leslokalen, een conferentiezaal en een winkeltje.
Met een ceremonie vond de opening plaats op 27 april 2018. Onder de aanwezigen waren onder andere de burgemeester van de gemeente Meierijstad, Kees van Rooij en Sadin Ayyildiz, Turkse consul-generaal in Rotterdam.

The Selimiye Mosque is a mosque in the Veghel-South district in Veghel, North Brabant. Since 2018, the mosque has opened its doors on Evertsenstraat. The mosque can accommodate 450 worshipers and was designed by Erdal Önder. The mosque is named after the Ottoman Sultan Selim II. The Turkish and Moroccan Muslim community looked for a suitable place of worship in the 1980s. The community, which at the time consisted mainly of guest workers, wanted its own prayer room. The neo-gothic R.K. Congregation Chapel, designed by Dutch architect Pierre Cuypers, has been given a new purpose after years of vacancy and threat of demolition. In 1980 the Selimiye mosque in Veghel opened its doors in the monumental building.
Due to lack of space and the increasing costs of the monumental building by architect Pierre Kuypers, the Islamic Foundation Netherlands commissioned the construction of the mosque. The mosque was designed by the Brabant architect Erdal Önder and cost 2.6 million euros. The building consists of a prayer room for 450 worshipers, classrooms, a conference room and a shop.
The opening took place with a ceremony on 27 April 2018. Those present included the mayor of the municipality of Meierijstad, Kees van Rooij and Sadin Ayyildiz, Turkish consul general in Rotterdam.
