The natural cheese dairy TegernseerLand, a cooperative association of committed dairy farmers, is known for fine hay milk specialties of all kinds. Idyllically located between Wallberg and Hirschberg, the cozy restaurants and the wonderful sun terrace invite you to visit and enjoy culinary delights. And if you want, you can also visit the show dairy and buy hay milk specialties for home in the adjoining shop.

Hay milk - enjoy healthy

Hay milk is a real pleasure - pure and as a basis for processing into cheese or yoghurt. And for the more than 20 hay milk farmers who supply it, it means complying with a self-imposed regulation. Because silage and other fermented feedstuffs have to be avoided in order to obtain hay milk. This is why hay milk cows graze on the local meadows in summer, and in winter they get fragrant hay and a small amount of grain. The high quality consistency of the hay milk, which is characterized by a natural aroma, a special spectrum of germs and a low level of butyric acid bacteria, has a decisive influence on the production, the taste and the consistency of the cheese made from it. The very special advantage of hay milk, however, is that it can be processed without additives or preservatives, making it the basis for real natural products.
