Rail FanBuilt in 1909, the Hereford depot is an example of the Santa Fe's brick county seat style. Freight additions were made to the depot in 1930 and again in 1966. The unfortunate choice of cinderblock construction for these additions probably accounts for the cream and red paint (not stucco), which masks what would otherwise be a stark contrast between red bricks and gray cinderblocks."
