See several cascades that fall a total of about 50 feet in a lovely park setting with a trail and picnic tables. It's located on NC Highway 194 in Newland - on the way to Elk River Falls. It's about 12 miles from Banner Elk.
The Waterfalls Park (also known as Bobby McLean Memorial Park) is maintained by the volunteer fire department. It's located across the street from the Dollar General! There's small parking area by a small bridge in front of the lower cascades (easy for all to enjoy). Walk up the short but steep trail for a closer look at the top two tiers of the waterfall. There is no admission fee.
