Landa Park is a jewel in the crown of New Braunfels. The Comal Spring, source of the Comal River, is in Landa Park. The ancient Founders Oak tree, the El Camino Real trail, an early Spanish Mission, a Civil War refinery, many pioneer monuments are commemorated within the boundary of Landa Park. Landa Park to New Braunfels is like the Alamo to San Antonio! The Landa family was instrumental in developing, supporting, and promoting New Braunfels in actions and in words. It is because of his foresight in protecting significant historical parts of this city that the Landa name is now seen on names of buildings streets, roadss, and parks all around New Braunfels.
