The Resistance Monument in Deventer is a bronze sculpture of a standing male figure. The posture of the resistance fighter speaks of unapproachability and strength. The statue is placed on a stone column. On the church wall behind the statue is an inscription in gold letters.

The text on the column reads:

'CONVICTED
1940
1945'.

The inscription on the church wall reads:

'THEY HAVE BY THEIR DYING
GIVEN MORE
THAN MANY YEARS' SUM
COULD GIVE US'.

The Resistance Memorial reminds the residents of Deventer of the bitter struggle against the occupier and the sacrifice that many resistance fighters made for a life in freedom.

The monument is placed at the Grote Kerkhof near the southern aisle of the Lebuïnuskerk in Deventer.
