Klokken i klokketårnet sad oprindelig i byens første rådhus i Sct. Annagade.

English: The city's current City Hall was built 1919-1921 instead of the old one in Sct. Annagade. The new town hall had large, spacious rooms, where there was room for both the town hall, police station and museum. The arrest was actually quite popular because the detainee's wife was good at cooking.

Today you can e.g. find the municipality's mayor's office at City Hall. From the Town Hall Tower, the beautiful chime is heard several times a day.

The bell in the bell tower originally sat in the town's first town hall in Sct. Annagade. The water art in front of the town hall, "Barnevask", is from 1970 and made by the Norwegian artist Frits Røed.

Today, the town hall functions as the central administration for Nordfyn Municipality and one of the municipality's three town halls - the other two are located in Søndersø and in Otterup, respectively.

Bogense is Nordfyn's old port city and market town. First mentioned in the 13th century, when King Erik Menved gave the city township rights. As a port city, the city is no longer important, but the large marina with over 700 berths means many tourists during the summer. The city has a number of narrow, cobbled streets, where the atmosphere of the old city is preserved. A number of half-timbered buildings also characterize the cityscape and contribute to the cozy and slightly old-fashioned atmosphere.
