Red Mountain Park in Mesa has two disc golf courses. This one is the south course, the easier of the two. Restrooms are near hole 1, as well as a detailed map and course/park instructions.
A note to anyone who may not be used to outdoor activities in the desert: bring plenty of water and watch out for desert wildlife!
Although it would be difficult to lose a disc at this course, you still need to watch out for brush and tree obstacles.

Welcome to the Disc Golf Courses at Red Mountain Park
There are two courses. The start of the recreational course is on the south side of the restroom. The advanced course starts approximately 300 feet east of the restroom.
BE ALERT. The natural inhabitants of this area include venomous snakes, spiders, scorpions, and other wild creatures. Please respect their right to be here.
Course rules:
1. Disc golf is like ball golf, except you use flying discs. Each throw counts as one stroke. The winner is the golfer with the lowest score.
2. The throws must be completed within the designated tee areas.
3. Signs are placed by each tee box indicating hole location, hole distance, out-of-bounds and mandatory throws.
4. To complete a hole, the disc must come to rest inside the basket or chains.
5. Be park friendly. Do not litter. Pack out or throw away what you bring in. This includes cigarettes and dog waste.
6. Safety:
*A flying disc can be harmful to players and other park users. Please be mindful of other park patrons including people riding the equestrian trail on horseback and dog walkers.
*Never throw until the players ahead of you are out of range, and until the fairway is completely clear of both other players and recreational park users.
*Be polite and patient in waiting for others to clear your path, or if necessary skip that hole and play it later.
*If a thrown disc appears to be headed toward other players or park users, loudly yell "FORE!"
